Guy (he/him) is a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years’ experience working with adult clients in a warm, collaborative and evidence-based way. This includes experience within community-based, as well as public and private mental health settings. Guy also has extensive experience providing clinical supervision; training and professional development; and in the development of mental health policy and clinical governance processes.

Guy works with clients in a way that is warm, open and collaborative. Initial sessions have a focus on developing individualised treatment plans that acknowledge the psychological and broader contextual factors that may be contributing to the issues clients are wanting to address. Guy draws from a range of different therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Insight-oriented psychotherapy; Mindfulness-based approaches; and Schema-focused approaches.
Guy works with adult clients, with common areas of focus including:
Depression;
Generalised and Social Anxiety;
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder;
Grief and adjustment to traumatic life events; and
Post-traumatic stress symptoms.
Guy has specialist expertise working with gender- and sexuality- diverse clients, within an affirming and trauma-informed framework.

Guy is a board-approved clinical supervisor with extensive experience working with students, Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Registrars. Guy focuses on developing an open and collaborative supervision space, that in turn supports reflective practice, and ethical and evidence-based client work. Guy provides both individual and group supervision.

Guy has extensive experience in the delivery of lectures and workshops across a range of areas, including LGBTIQA+ affirmative practice principles; trauma-focused work; and general psychological practice. Guy has delivered training and lectures within university, school, hospital and community settings. Guy has provided training to students, mental health professionals, and also other professionals, such as teachers, who have wanted to embed psychologically-informed principles into their work. Training and development is tailored to meet the requirements and goals of each client.

Workshops on trauma-informed therapeutic practice, with a particular focus on complex trauma.
Workshops covering principles of risk assessment and management.

Guy has extensive experience in developing clinical governance frameworks and associated policy documents to support responsible clinical practice. With a background in State Government policy development in addition to senior clinical roles in mental health settings, Guy is able to bring a unique perspective with both an organisational and system lens, as well as 'on the ground' experience as a clinician in a range of complex mental health settings.

Guy is a registered Clinical Psychologist, and a member of both the Australian Psychological Society and Australian Clinical Psychology Association. Guy is also a board-approved Clinical Psychology supervisor.
Prior to training as a Psychologist has worked in a range of State Government policy roles.
